Maintenance requirements
Maintenance operation is of great importance for
fault-free operation, safety and energy conservation.
Improper maintenance of automobile might lead to
accident or damage to your automobile.
Prestarting inspection
Prestarting inspection shall be performed to ensure
safe and cozy driving.
Quality and level of engine oil
Level of engine coolant
Level of brake fluid
Level of cleaning solution
Driving belts
Level of battery electrolyte
Tire pressure and abrasion
Liquid oil leak
Service condition of the lights
Steering wheel
Brakes
Accelerator pedal
During low-speed driving:
Speedometer takeoff and water-temperature
warning light
Steering force of steering wheel
Braking function
Other abnormal service conditions
Check whether or not your automobile is
subjected
to
lateral
wandering
during
straight-line driving or when brakes are applied.
Take a close look at your Xenia automobile
Keep your eyes open any changes in performances,
sounds and appearance of your Xenia automobile,
and the changes indicate that your automobile
should be maintained.
Some important clues are listed as follows:
Pause, instability or poming of engine
Obvious loss of power
Abnomal engine noises
Leak of any oil/fluid (air-conditioning drainage
is normal)
Exhaust sound is changed Tire appearance
seems to be empty/shrivelled; very high
squealing may be given during turning or
braking; tire wear is non-uniform
Your automobile wanders to one side during
straight-line driving on level pavement
The brake efficiency is inferior; “weakness”
may be felt when you depress the brake pedal or
clutch pedal, the pedals almost rub up against
the floor , and your automobile wanders to one
side when brakes are applied.
Engine coolant is consecutively higher than the
normal temperature
If one of those conditions are detected, contact the
local special service store for inspection of your
automobile.
Maintenance record
A copy of the work order for any maintenance
operations performed at the local special service
store shall be kept.
The copy may testify that all maintenance
operations covered by warranty had been fulfilled.
Self-maintenance
If you have some mechanical knowledge and
automotive tools, you may carry out some
maintenance items by yourself.
The procedures of self maintenance are described in
Section 14.
Notice that self maintenance might affect your
range of warranty.
For specific contents of warranty statement, refer to
the warranty handbook.
Scheduled maintenance
Scheduled maintenance items specified in this
section shall be performed regularly. Observe the
maintenance
schedule
recommended
in
the
handbook.
