Conspectus of energy-saving driving
When the key is pulled out, it is advisable to switch
the gear change hand lever to
, and turn the
ignition switch to the “LOCK” position. The
operation may guarantee that your automobile can
be safely started up next time, and guarantee safe
parking.
Danger
Gear down in case of crosswind or rugged
pavement.
Warning
Do not lay your foot on the clutch pedal during
driving; or, do not use the clutch to maintain the
status of your automobile when it is parked on
rising gradient; otherwise, the clutch might be
overheated.
Do not drive your automobile while the gear
change hand lever is set to neutral; otherwise,
the transmission might be overheated.
Do not place your hand on the gearshift button
during driving, for fear thata the transmission
may be accidentally switched to other gears.
Furthermore, the transmission may also be
damaged in this way.
Do not allow the engine to operate at high speed
during gearshifting; otherwise, the engine might
be overheated.
Do not drive your automobile through
water-logging area where the water depth
exceeds the bottom of the felloe. Change down
when you drive through water.
Step up speed slowly. Avoid unnecessary abrupt
acceleration or braking. Maintain identical
driving speed in so far as possible.
Avoid unnecessary joy ride.
During joy ride, it is advisable to use the top
gear. This may help you to reduce engine noises
and fuel consumption.
The process from stoppage to startup of an
automobile need consume much more of fuel;
therefore, you'd better avoid emergency start-up
or emergency braking by reserving ample time
in so far as possible during driving.
You'd better rationally drive your automobile
and maintain an appropriate driving speed
(please see Section 13), such that your
automobile
may
maintain
her
original
performance and fuel consumption may be
reduced.
Do not have your automobile overloaded.
Do not allow the engine to operate at
unnecessary idle speed.
Turn off the air conditioner when it is unneeded.
Dismantle the luggage rack when it is unneeded.
