4.10 TRANSPORT
TRANSPORT SAFETY
1. Read and understand ALL the information in
the Operator’s Manual regarding procedures
and SAFETY when operating the Sprayer in the
fi eld and/or on the road.
2. Check with local authorities regarding sprayer
transport on public roads. Obey all applicable
laws and regulations.
Fast Distributing sprayers are de-
signed to be easily and conveniently
moved from fi eld to fi eld. When
transporting, follow this procedure:
1. Be sure all bystanders are clear of
the machine.
2. Be sure that the Sprayer is
hitched positively to the tractor.
3. Keep to the right and yield the
right-of-way to allow faster traffi
c
to pass. Drive on the road shoul-
der, if permitted by law.
4. Make sure the SMV (Slow Mov-
ing Vehicle) emblem and all the
lights and refl ectors that are re-
quired by the local highway and
transport authorities are in place,
are clean and can be seen clearly
by all overtaking and oncoming
traffi
c.
5. Install Transport Locks:
a. Extend and secure cradle
locks over each boom. Se-
cure with retainer.
3. Always travel at a safe speed. Use caution when
making corners or meeting traffi
c.
4. Make sure the SMV (Slow Moving Vehicle)
emblem and all the lights and refl ectors that are
required by the local highway and transport au-
thorities are in place, are clean and can be seen
clearly by all overtaking and oncoming traffi
c.
