The edge next to holes A and B is Datum B. (Typically defines the X axis)

Hole location #9 is Datum C. (Typically defines the coordinate system’s 0,0,0 origin)

Type a name for your measured face (or use the default name).

Select the DATUM check box and choose A.

Select OK to measure the face.
10 Measure the face with the FARO Gage.
•
Place the ball probe on the part and digitize points with the GREEN button.
•
Digitize 3 or more points on the planar surface.

Select the FEATURES drawer in
the Toolbox.

Scroll through the FEATURES
list and select the Face
command.

Select the RUN button.
