Chapter 3: Feature Measurements (Metrology Mode)
Practical - Measuring Features
Face
Use the Face command to measure a face (planar surface) on your part. The face measurement
best-fits a face using digitized points.
Make sure you’re in Metrology Mode (select the Metrology switch, and select OK).

Type a name for your measured face, or use the default name.

If this face is a datum of your part, select the DATUM check box.

Select OK to measure the face.

Select the FEATURES drawer in
the Toolbox.

Scroll through the FEATURES
list and select the Face
command.

Select the RUN button.
