3.2.3 Favourites
In the Travel Guide you can access your personal favourites destinations and use them
for destination entry and travel planning with the Travel Guide.
Tap
Main menu> Travel Guide.
In a further step, you should stipulate your
search centre
and then select the button
Favourites
.
To find out how to create favourites, please read Chapter 2.4.6.
All of the destinations which are available for your search centre will be compiled in the form
of a list, sorted according to their distance. This means that destinations which are the
shortest distance from the search centre are the first to be shown in the list.
You can now select one of your
Favourites
and calculate the route.
Note
: The distances in the POI list give the distance to the destination as the crow flies. Only
after the route has been calculated will the precise distance to be covered be determined.
Sort of Information
As part of the list display, you have the option of changing the method of sorting or filtering
the data. To do this, tap on the
Sort
button at the top.
If you tap on the
Alphabetical
button, the entries (POIs) which are found will be sorted in
alphabetical order. Furthermore, the entries can be sorted on the basis of the
Additional
information
that exists. The entries for which, in addition to the standard information of
name and address, further information (e.g. descriptions) exists are shown. When you tap on
Distance
, the entries are sorted according to their distance from your starting point. When
you tap on
Rating
(cf. 3.3), the entries (POIs) will be sorted starting with the highest rating.
Note
: Sorting according to rating is only possible if your own ratings have been transferred to
the Falk Community, edited and transferred back to the navigation device.
Detailed view
You select a list entry by tapping on it. You can display further information by switching to the
Detailed view
, or you can start route calculation immediately.
The
Detailed view
which contains all of the available information (for example pictures,
telephone numbers or descriptive texts) for a list entry opens up when you tap again on the
entry – with a blue background – which has already been activated.
To find out more about the detailed view for a list entry, please read Chapter 3.3.
Tip:
The
Favourites
created in older Falk Navigator software can be transferred to become
Favourites in the Falk Navigator 9.
To do this, transfer your
Favourites
to the
Falk Internet Community
. The favourites are
saved there and are transferred back as
Favourites
to your navigation device. You can find
out how to do this in Chapter 5 on the Falk Navi-Manager.
