Section 8 – Remote Operation

The contents of the instrument’s real time calendar will be returned using 
the following format:

 

<year>, <month>, <day> 

 

where:   <year>    is in the range of 2000 – 9999 
 

  <month> is in the range of 1 – 12 (1 = January, 2 =  February, etc) 

 

   <day>     is in the range of 1 – 31 (day of the month) 

 

:SYSTem:NETWork:ADDRess? 

This command returns the instrument’s network IP address. 
 

:SYSTem:LOGGing:DATa:REMove 

This command deletes all previously stored data log files from the 
intrument’s internal memory.  
 

 
 

Status Register 
Commnads 

The Status Register Commands control and query the MEASUREMENT 
EVENT, OPERATION EVENT and QUESTIONABLE EVENT registers as 
well as the error queue. 

 
 

:STATus:MEASurement:EVENt? 
:STATus:OPERation:EVENt? 
:STATus:QUEStionable:EVENt? 

These commands return the contents of the specified EVENT register and 
then clear that event register contents. 

 
 

:STATus:MEASurement:ENABle <NRf> 
:STATus:OPERation:ENABle <NRf> 
:STATus:QUEStionable:ENABle <NRf> 

These commands program the specified EVENT ENABLE register with the 
value <NRf>.  <NRf> is an ASCII string representing an integer mask.  For 
instance a value of 45 decimal is the same as binary 00101101, thus 
setting bits 5, 3, 2 and 0 in the enable register.

These commands return the contents of the specified EVENT ENABLE 
register.

:STATus:OPERation:CONDition? 
:STATus:QUEStionable:CONDition?

 

These commands return the contents of the specified EVENT CONDITION 
register.  The EVENT CONDITION register is a real-time register reflecting 
the state of the instrument at the time of the read.  Some conditions could 
happen very quickly and could be missed by this query.  It is often better to 
rely on the contents of the EVENT register since it latches the event until
