Table 6. WLAN Configuration Parameters

Field

Description

Channel Options

WLAN Mode

Select the WLAN mode. Possible options are:

802.11a

802.11b

802.11g for pure mode

802.11 Mixed mode (Support for legacy 802.11b
clients on a single 802.11g radio)

Since the Extricom solution can support
two simultaneous channels in the same
frequency band, selecting the WLAN
mode enables the Extricom solution to
offer

same band

capability. This means

that both radios can be set to:

1.

802.11a & 802.11a

2.

802.11b & 802.11b

3.

802.11g & 802.11g

Channel

Select the channel. The options available are based
on the country and WLAN mode.

Maximum Retries

Select the number of times to try to resend a packet
if the transmission of the packet fails.

Rates
Configuration

Rate Adaptation

Allow Rate
Adaptation

Check this box if you want to enable rate adaptation.

A rate participates in rate adaptation
when the Adapt checkbox for the
individual rates are checked.
