Warning concerning cleaning:
• Never use scouring pads to clean any visible surfaces. Even plastic scouring pads
will scratch the surface.
Wash the visible surfaces of the grill regularly using soapy water and a sponge.
Burnt-on food will, however, often need to be removed by hand.
Warnings
• Do not use the grill indoors – it is life-threatening and poses a serious fire hazard.
• Do not use the grill in strong winds.
• Do not wear clothes made from lightweight and loose synthetic fabrics near
the grill.
• Do not leave children or animals unattended near the grill.
• Never move a hot grill.
• Never pour water onto a hot grill. The shock may permanently damage the metal.
• If you smell gas, turn off the grill immediately and identify the source of the smell.
• The grill is designed and approved for use as supplied by the manufacturer – it is
dangerous to tamper with the grill in any way.
• Never place the grill on or near flammable materials or objects.
• Never use the grill on board a boat or on other unsteady surfaces.
• Do not pour lighting fluid on the grill. Do not use firelighter products.
• Do not store a spare or disconnected gas bottle underneath or close to the grill.
• Incorrect assembly of the grill may be dangerous. Carefully follow the assembly
instructions.
• When the gas grill has been stored and/or has not been used for a period, it
must be checked for gas leaks and clogging of the burners before use. See the
instructions in this booklet for the correct procedures.
• Do not use the gas grill if there is a gas leak.
• Do not use an open flame to check whether there are any gas leaks.
• Do not place a textile cover or any other flammable material on top of the grill or
in the area under the grill while the grill is in use.
• Take care when using the gas grill. It gets hot during cooking, and it must never
be left unattended or be moved while it is being used.
• If a burner goes out while the grill is in use, close all the gas valves, open the lid
and wait 5 minutes before trying to re-ignite the grill. Follow the instructions on
how to light the grill.
• Do not use charcoal or lava rock in the gas grill.
• Never lean over an open grill, and never place your hands or fingers on the
cooking area.
• If the fat catches fire, switch off both burners and keep the lid closed until the fire
is extinguished.
• Do not make the valve holes or burner holes larger when cleaning the valves or
burners.
• The gas grill should be cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
• Liquid propane gas is not natural gas. It is dangerous and prohibited to change to
or use natural gas in a propane gas unit or propane gas in a natural gas unit.
• Do not loosen any gas connectors while the grill is in use.
• Use heat-resistant barbecue mitts when using your grill.
• Keep all electric cables and fuel hoses away from all heated surfaces.
• Combustion by-products which are released when using this product contain
chemicals which can cause cancer, congenital defects and other fertility problems.
• Do not use the grill unless all parts are correctly fitted. The grill must be correctly
assembled in accordance with the instructions.
• Use the gas regulator and the gas hose supplied with the gas grill.
• Do not disconnect the gas regulator or the hose or any gas connections while the
grill is in use.
• A dented or rusty propane gas bottle may be dangerous and must be checked by
the gas supplier. Do not use a gas bottle with a damaged valve.
• Even though the gas bottle appears to be empty, it may still contain gas, and it
must therefore be transported and stored as if it contained gas.
• Check and clean the burner tubes to remove insects and insect nests. A clogged
tube can cause a fire under the grill.
• If you see, smell or hear that gas is leaking from the gas bottle:
1. Move away from the gas bottle.
2. Do not attempt to solve the problem.
3. Call the fire brigade.
• Do not attempt to remove the drip bowl while the grill is still hot.
FAQ:
The burner does not ignite, or there is only a small flame, even when the
burner control knobs are in position E: Check the gas level in the bottle. Refill the
gas bottle or buy a full gas bottle if there is little or no gas left. Check whether the
gas hose is bent or twisted. If necessary, straighten out the hose.
Flames flare up: Have you pre-heated the grill correctly? Turn both control knobs
to position E for 10-15 minutes. Are there any burnt fat deposits on the grid or heat
shields? If necessary, clean thoroughly. Is the drip bowl full? Empty and clean the
bowl, if necessary.
The burner flame is unstable, or the flame is small, even when the control
knob is in position E, or there are no flames along the entire length of the
burner tube. Are the burners clean? If necessary, clean the burners.
If, after following these instructions, you are still experiencing problems, or
if you need any spare parts, contact the dealer where you purchased your Eva
Solo Box grill or Eva Solo A/S.
