Step 4: Installing the Modem Driver

Click Start.
!
Select Settings and Control Panel.
!
Double click the System icon.
!
Click the Device Manager tab.
!
Click on “+” to the left of “Other devices”.
!
Double click “PCI Communication Device.”
!
Click the Driver tab and choose Update Driver.
!
Select “Specify the location of the driver (Advanced)” and choose Next.
!
Deselect “Removable Media (Floppy, CD-ROM...), select “Specify a
location” and Click on the Browse box.
!
In the “Browse for Folder” window:
-Click on the “+” to the left of Drive D or whatever letter your
CD-ROM drive is.
- Click on the “+” to the left of Driver
- Click on the “+” to the left of modem
- Click on the folder ME
- Select OK
!
Select Next
!
Select Next then wait while the driver is installed
!
Click Finish to complete the setup.
!
Click Close
!
Click OK to return to the “Control Panel”
