inserting and rePlacing batteries
The device has backup batteries for the rotational motion (type: AA/Mignon) and
a backup battery for the settings (type: CR2032). In case of a power failure the
performance is maintained and the settings (such as time, rotational direction, etc.)
will not be deleted. During a power failure, the lighting for display and case are off.
-
Open the battery compartment (7) on the bottom of the case.
-
Insert a 3 V lithium coin cell CR2032 into the lower battery holder bracket follo-
wed by two 1.5 V batteries type AA/Mignon while observing proper polarity.
-
The correct polarity is shown on the battery compartment.
-
Close the battery compartment (7).
-
Battery replacement is necessary when on the display the battery indicator
(11 or 12) lights up.
When changing the batteries, ensure that the power supply stays connected
so that the settings are not lost.
You may use rechargeable batteries instead of AA/Mignon cells. However,
due to the lower operating voltage (rechargeable battery = 1.2 V, battery
1.5 V) and lower capacity the time of operation will be reduced.
mains connection
m
the mains socket to which the transformer is connected must be easily
accessible, so that the device can be isolated quickly from the mains
voltage in case of an error.
do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. mains
voltage may cause fatal electric shocks.
do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and pro-
fessional way to prevent accidents.
-
Connect the low voltage plug of the supplied power adapter to the 6V/DC port (6)
on the device.
-
Plug the power adapter into a wall socket.
resetting the clock
Movement of the watch winder stops, when the transparent case cover is
hinged up.
-
Tilt the transparent case cover upwards and pull the watch holder out of the case
by compressing the two “ears“ of the watch holder.
-
Close the watch band, compress the spring suspension of the watch holder and
position your watch on the watch holder.
-
Push the watch holder back into its seat in the winder until it snaps into place.
-
Close the transparent case cover again.
If the size of the watch holder does not fit your watch, you can adjust the
watch holder to fit the size of the watch by utilizing the included parts as
shown in the following pictures.
The watch holder must hold the watch tightly. The dial face must point out-
ward and the watch case should sit centred on the padded cushions.
To change the rear, smaller portion of the watch holder, you will need a small
screwdriver which is used to press the catches of this part inward.
