Terminal and Software Compatibility
The following Equitrac software systems support the new database format :
When the terminal communicates with an accounting system that supports the new
terminal database format, the accounting system signals the terminal that full validation is
available, and the terminal downloads an
eqcontrol.db file. The new PageCounter
firmware is designed to accommodate communication with accounting systems that do
not support the new terminal database format. In this instance, the terminal accepts files in
.dbf format. The PageCounter Professional terminal converts data in the .dbf files to the
eqcontrol.db file and removes the .dbf files. The PageCounter Professional functions in
this manner with the following Equitrac Document Accounting Systems:
