MAINTENANCE DUST SEAL
The table below shows the recommended cleaning intervals of the dust seal:

The non-periodic cleaning of the dust seal induces infiltration of mud in the fork. Such infiltration
compromises the smoothness of the fork and cause serious leaks from seals.

❶ Pry up the spring of the dust seal and
remove the seal from the seat of the leg. ❷ With a cloth clean from any trace of mud the base
of the dust seal and the upper edge of the oil seal.
❸ Force the one hand to introduce the dust seal and
the cloth. Do swirling the dust on the cloth to wipe off
any dirt to the inside of the sealing lips.
❹ Lubricate the tube with a grease seal.
❺ Place the dust seal on the grease and
rotate it on itself. ❻ Put in place the dust seal helping with
the flat side of a screwdriver.
