Where:

Prescaler:

The prescaler is a

12-stage divider

chain providing frequencies

based on the CLK input.

Each set of timers uses the same

prescaler

as its clock source.

TCNT Register:

is an 8-bit timer/counter that

increments

each time a clock

pulse is input.

TCCR Register:

Timer capture or compare register, use for different operation

modes.

Timer Overflow Interrupt Flag (TVIF):

is set when Counter overflows.

Timer Interrupt Flag (TIF):

is set when compare is matched or timer capture

occurs.
