eSL/eSLS Series (+ eSLZ000) User’s Manual

3.5 Digital to Analog Converter (DAC)

DAC is a 12-bit resolution current-steering digital-to-analog converter used for
voice and audio applications.  It can be directly terminated with resistive loads
to produce voltage outputs.  In current-mode DAC, the power efficiency is very
high since almost all power is dissipated in the load resistor at the output.
