3.5. CONNECTING PV MODULES (PV-IV/MPP)
For performing IV-curves and MPP tracking of each PV Module, the MP-1000S system
is equipped with 8 IV/MPP Blocks (nr. 8). As the generated electricity from the modules
will not be used, the heat needs to be dissipated. The PV Blocks system uses heatsinks
for discharging the power of the modules. Each PV module will be connected by a cable
to a heatsink which is located outside next to the PV module. The 8 heatsinks will be
connected by a 10m Phoenix cable (with 2 connectors) to 8 PV IV/MPP Blocks.
Connecting PV Module to heatsink
•
Customer needs to provide splitter unit for splitting the cable of the PV module
into 4 separate cables (2 plus (RED cable), 2 minus (BLACK cable))
•
Connect red cable (RED1) to (pos1) of heatsink
•
Connect red cable (RED2) to (pos2) of heatsink
•
Connect black cable (BLACK1) to (pos3) of heatsink
•
Connect black cable (BLACK2) to (pos4) of heatsink
Connecting heatsink to PV-IV/MPP Block (PV-IV/MPP) by 10m Phoenix cable (2
connectors)
•
Connect connector1 (2 cables: pink and blue) of Phoenix cable (load1) to position
1-4 of PV-IV/MPP Block
