- Rising I-V curve in Isc side
It is not broken. This condition occurs when large junction-capacitance PV
devices, such as amorphous-Si and HIT, are measured.
With the capacitor load method on MP-170 cannot avoid such problem; however,
MP-170 obtains Isc from linear approximation which minimizes the rising
curve.
- FF is low, I-V curve apart from Isc
Either the PV device cable is too long, or the resistance of the connection is too
high. The resistance amounts on MP-170’s measuring circuit and the cable are
influencing this problem. This happens when using low voltage and high current
PV devices.
-
The power does not come ON
This condition may occur when the batteries or the AC adapter are not used and
the power switch is pushed, then tried to turn on the power.
This problem can be solved by plug/unplugging the power.
When using AC adapter: Unplug and then plug again, then push the Power
switch key.
When using batteries: May be due to changing batteries. Take out the
batteries and place them back in again, then push the Power switch key.
