Optional Operation
1. Press the
“SLEEP” button to set the Sleep mode.
2. Press the
“TIMER ON” and “TIMER OFF” buttons to schedule
your air conditioner to turn on or off at a certain time.
3. Press the
“LIGHT” button to control whether the unit’s LCD
screen illuminates. (This function may not be available for all
units.)
4. Press the
“TURBO” button to activate or deactivate the Turbo
function.
Replacing Batteries in the Remote Control
1. Press on the battery box cover
marked with the “
” symbol
as shown in the figure, and then push the cover of the battery
box out of the remote in the direction indicated by the arrow.
2. Replace the old batteries with two AAA 1.5 V new and dry batteries. Make sure the
“+” and “-“
poles line up with their assigned place in the remote control, as indicated.
3. Reinstall the cover of the battery box.
Notes:
During operation, point the remote control signal sender at the receiving window on the indoor
unit.
The distance between the signal sender on the remote and the receiving window on the unit
should be no more than 25 feet. There should be no obstacles between the signal sender and
the receiving window.
The signal may encounter interference in rooms that contain a fluorescent lamp or wireless
telephone. In order to combat such interference, the remote control should be close to the
indoor unit during operation.
When it is time to replace the batteries in the remote, make sure you replace them with
batteries of the same model.
Remove the batteries if you do not plan to use the remote for a long period of time.
If the display on the remote is fuzzy or no display is visible, replace the batteries.
