4-3 BUS ADDRESS SETTING
The N2 bus specification requires unique
addressed for each device connected. The
JCI100 provides an eight-position dip-
switch for configuration addresses
between 0 and 255 for a total of 256
unique addresses. Figure 4-3.1 illustrates
the values assigned to each switch
position. To set the address move the
switches with the combined added
weighting to the “Up” position. For example
to set an address of 129 hexadecimal move
switches 1 and 8 (128 +1) to the up
position.

There are jumpers on the JCI100 that
affect the way it interacts with
different models of Smart Breaker. Do
not attempt to change these jumpers
unless specifically directed to do so
by a qualified Cutler-Hammer
representative. Failure to head this
warning could result in component
damage.
