5.8.2 Connect CT Cable to CT
1.
Route the CT Cable past where the CT will be mounted, typically on the main positive bus.
2.
Cut excess length from the CT cable if needed.
3.
Remove about 1.5” of cable to expose the colored wires.
4.
Using the 22 AWG slot on a wire cutter, expose about ¼” (4 mm) of each individual wire.
5.
Connect the wires in the following order:
- Red
à
+12
- Ground
à
Ground
- Black
à
-12
- White
à

5.8.3 Attach CT to Battery System
1.
Typically, the CT is attached to the positive bus of the battery system but it can also be
installed anywhere else on the string as long as the arrow is facing correctly.
2.
Place the CT around the positive bus cable and ensure that the arrow is facing from the
positive toward the negative, in the direction of current flow.
3.
Zip tie the clamp in place so that it is secure as shown below:

WARNING:
Be sure wire the CT Cable to the CT before connecting to the battery system.
Failure to do so will damage the CT.
