Module: SEQUENCER MANAGE 1 Function: TEMPO
This sets the tempo for Emax’s Internal clock.
1. With the Sequence module active, press
MANAGE then select 1 . The display says:
Use the data slider or the numeric keypad to adjust the tempo through the range from 40 - 240 Beats
Per Minute. Press the right cursor key to to do fine adjustment to the tempo. Use the data slider or the
numeric keypad to adjust the tempo through the range from 0.00 - 0.99 Beats Per Minute.
If you have selected a clock other than the internal clock (see SEQUENCER MANAGE 2 ), the
Sequencer will follow and display this clock rather than the internal clock.

You can drive the Emax sequencer from the Internal clock, MIDI, or three different flavors of pulse
signals.

internal = Emax’s sequencer syncs to the internal clock at the tempo chosen in
SEQUENCER MANAGE 1.
MIDI = Emax’s sequencer syncs to MlDl clock signals coming in over the MIDI IN port
click 24 = Emax’s sequencer syncs to 24 pulses-per-quarter-note signals appearing at the Clock
Input jack.
click 48 = Emax’s sequencer syncs to 48 pulses-per-quarter-note signals appearing at the Clock
Input jack.
click 96 = Emax’s sequencer syncs to 96 pulses-per-quarter-note signals appearing at the Clock
Input jack.
3. Press
ENTER when you’ve made your selection; Emax returns to the Module Identifier.
Module: SEQUENCER MANAGE 3 Function: LOAD SEQUENCE
Use this function to load a sequence from disk Into Emax’s memory.
1. Insert the disk containing the Sequence you want to load into the Bank. With the Sequencer Manage
module active, select 3 . The display says:
