Gas system
As we deal with gas, the ceramic gas hob should be connected to a gas system supplying gas
of a type it has been designed and manufactured for. Information about the type of gas the hob is
designed for is given on the data plate of the ceramic hob.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any
damage to the ceramic hob due to using the wrong gas type and/or quality to feed the hob.
Using the gas butane (G30 3B) or propane/butane (G30 3B/P) in temperatures of
environment of gas cylinder and gas supply system
below + 15

causes incorrect
functioning of the hob. In this case it is
necessary use only propane gas (G31 3P).
The ceramic gas hob may be connected to a gas cylinder with liquid gas or to the existing gas
supply system by authorized personnel only, observing all safety regulations (EN 1949).
The gas supplying elements should be inspected before using the hob for the first time and after every two
years, in accordance with the applicable standards, in particular EN 1949 standard (in Germany also in
accordance with DVGW G 607 work sheet) by an authorized expert.
The user is responsible for arranging the inspection of the gas connection. The fitter is required to provide the
user with written information about the mandatory periodical inspection.
Pay attention to maintaining the connection leak tight. Do not test tightness with fire. After
installation, all connections of the ceramic hob should be inspected for leak tightness. During
inspection it is recommended to use electronic gas detector proven for use for the given gas type. In
case of finding any leakage, the gas supply valve should be closed.
GCH 5.01.SD/2 gas ceramic hob has a horizontal connector pipe ending with a 30mm long, 8mm diameter
pipe, allowing to connect the hob to the gas supply system. The gas supply system should be provided with a
cut off valve, cutting off the supply of gas to the hob and a gas filter, protecting the nozzle from blocking
caused by impurities in the supplied gas. The gas pipes may be connected to the appliance by means of gas-
tight couplings and connections only, in accordance with the requirements of EN 1949 standard, certified for
safety.
During installation and connection the gas connection pipe of the hob cannot be rotated,
pulled or otherwise stressed.
Pressure regulators and valves used between the gas cylinder and the appliance must comply with
requirements specified in the Table below.

Tips for the fitter
The fitter should:
•
Be qualified as
a fitter of gas appliances
•
Read
information specified on the data plate of the ceramic gas hob, in particular information on the type of
gas the hob is manufactured for. The information should be compared with the gas supply parameters in the
place of installation.
•
Check:
- efficiency of ventilation, i.e. air exchange in the room.
- leak-tightness of the gas fittings
