Cleaning and routine maintenance
Clean your hob only when it cools down to a safe temperature.
Cleaning the ceramic glass
Clean the hob after every use to avoid food residuals become strongly stuck to the hob.
Use cleaning agents appropriate for cleaning glass ceramics only and carefully observe instructions specified by
the manufacturer of the packaging.
Ceramic glass should be cleaned exactly like a glass surface. By no means, do not ever use:
- abrasive, caustic or aggressive cleaning agents,
- sand for scrubbing,
- sponges with rough, scratching surfaces,
- high pressure or steam washer,
- agents intended for use in dishwashers,
- agents intended for cleaning ovens.
●
Wipe off
slight, not-burnt patches of dirt
using damp cloth without any cleaning agent. Washing up liquids can
cause blue discoloration to appear on the hob. Such stains often cannot be removed after first cleaning, even if
special cleaning agents are used.
●
Remove larger patches of dirt, strongly sticking
to the hob using a sharp scraper and wipe off the surface with
a damp cloth.
●
Light pearly stains (aluminum residues)
can be removed from a cooled hob using special cleaning agents.
Calcareous residues (i.e. boiled over water) can be removed with vinegar or special cleaning agents.
●
Do not switch off the cooking zone when you want to
remove sugar,
food residuals with sugar contents, plastic or
aluminum foil from it! Immediately scrape off the residuals (when still hot) from the hot cooking zone using a sharp
scraper for ceramic hobs. When the dirt is removed you can switch off the hob and clean it again with a special
cleaning agents when it cools down.
Standards cleaning agents for ceramic glass can be bought in supermarkets, special electromechanical shops,
drugstores. Scrapers for ceramic hobs can be bought in shops with household appliances accessories.
Never apply any cleaning agent on a hot ceramic hob. Any residuals of the cleaning agent should be wiped off
with a damp cloth before the hob is heated for the next time, as otherwise they may have caustic effect.
Scraper for ceramic hobs
Clean up stubborn dirt on the glass using a ceramic
hob scraper.
5. Open the scraper
6. Clean the hob surface with the scraper edge.
Do not clean the surface of your hob with any other part of
the scraper as you may scratch the surface.
The edge of the scraper is very sharp, be aware of the danger of cutting yourself. When not in use,
the scraper should be closed. Damaged edge should be replaced immediately.
