2.6 Drive of the needle oscillation
Rule
The needle oscillation should end about. 1,5 mm above the throat
plate surface.
Setting:
–
By turning the crank, move the machine in the bartacking position.
In this position it is easier to control the needle oscillation by the
wide bartack throw.
–
Remove the change wheel 1 from the shaft.
Consequently, when turning the hand wheel, the machine will
remain in the bartacking position.
–
Turn the hand wheel in the direction of rotatio n, until the
descending needle produces the left stitch.
–
Check rule and, if necessary turn the gear 2 accordingly after
loosening both screws.
–
Tighten both screws, ensuring that the gear 2 , in the axial
direction, stands in the middle above the gear.
–
Check rule and repeat the setting, if required.
