8.3 Removing and fitting the driving belts

Removal:

–

Remove the position transmitter, the hand wheel and the belt
guard.

–

Remove the belt jump guard.

–

Erect the machine and remove the driving belt.

–

Loosen the screw

and shift the complete belt pulley unit

–

Remove the toothed belt.

Fitting:

–

Install both toothed belts.

–

Push the belt pulley unit outwards ( tightening the toothed belts )
and tighten the screw

–

Fit the belt jump guard.

–

Fit the belt guard, the hand wheel and the position transmitter .

NOTE

Check hook settings and proceed to a new adjustment, if required,
see

chapter 3. Hook and needle bar
