2.10.2 Setting the thread puller
While extending the piston rod 1 the thread sheet 6 will be turned and
the thread will be advanced through the opened thread tensions.
By advancing the needle thread, the first stitch of the buttonhole will
be sewn without needle thread tension. Consequently, the bobbin
thread will not be pulled up when producing the first stitch.
Rule:
Set the thread sheet 6 so that the bobbin thread is not pulled up when
producing the first stitch of the buttonhole.
Setting:

Loosen the screw 7 and shift according to the Rule.
Shift the screw 7 to the left = for advancing more thread
Shift the screw 7 to the right = for advancing less thread

Retighten the screw 7 .
2.10.3 Way of the thread tightening spring
Rule:
When the thread take up lever descends from its upper dead point, the
thread tightening spring
10 should keep the thread tight until the
needle stitches the fabric.
Setting:
–
Turn on the machine and start the sewing process.
–
When sewing a lip, make a quick stop (lower the pedal backwards).
–
Turn off the machine, press the thread monitor into its front end
position and conntinue turning the machine by handweel.

Check the thread tension according to the Rule .

If required, loosen the screw 8 and turn the tension sleeve 9
according to the Rule .
–
Tighten the screw 8 .
