8. Changing the components

8.1 Changing the sewing basket

–

Move the machine into its end position (rear inversion point of the
sewing basket ).

–

Lock the sewing basket in the upper position.

–

Turn off the machine.

–

Reduce the sewing foot pressure by the screw

–

Remove the needle and take out the knife.

–

Make the screw

accessible by turning the hand wheel and loosen

it.

–

Change the sewing basket.

NOTE

Fasten the sewing basket so that in the end position of the machine
the distance between the stitch hole and the inner front edge of the
sewing basket amounts to

about 2 mm

The sewing basket should be parallel to the throat plate and should
coincide with the middle of the stitch hole.

If necessary, rectify the strap

by a suitable bending tool.
