The supply unit is installed with the cable glands facing downwards. Unused openings
must be sealed to prevent the ingress of moisture and protect against corrosion inside
the housing.

Carefully note the alignment of the casing cover ( Fig. 5.31 ). The casing seal is not
symmetrical in orientation. If the alignment is wrong the gasket will be damaged and
the supply unit will no longer satisfy protection type IP 66 (NEMA 4.4x).

If desired, the retaining plates can also be attached to the housing in the vertical align­
ment. They then project half way left and right beyond the housing (for dimensions see
Fig. 9.11 ).
Electrical connection to the D-TB 100 supply unit
The supply unit sends the measurement data prepared by the measuring head to the
customer interface and serves as power supply for the connected sensor.
