Section 4 – Standard System Status and Controls

Preliminary Setup
1. Plug in the AC line cord to the correct AC power out-
let. See Table 6 -II (Page 52) for the model power re
-
quirements.
2. Attach a compatible ultrasonic probe to the ultrasound
output connector - J1.
3. Activate the AC Breaker/Switch

to the ON posi-
tion.
Testing the Generator
(Complete steps 1-3 above, and then continue with steps
4, 5, and 6 below).
4. The start up sequence begins. Then the display shows
the splash screen. The start up sequence ends when
the display shows the menu screen.
5. System Operating Mode Key Tests (See Figure 4-16)
a. Press the
OFFLINE
mode key

The
display shows
OFFLINE
in the upper right hand
corner and the screen background will change to yel-
low.
b. Press the
TEST
key
C
.
The ultrasound should not activate, and the
Alarm ID
#308
will be displayed.
c. Press the
ONLINE
key
D
.
The display shows
ONLINE
in the upper right hand
corner and the screen background will change back to
white.
d. Press the
TEST
key
C
. Ultrasound should acti-
vate and the Test screen will be displayed showing
Amplitude, Power, and Frequency values. Release the
TEST
key.
6. Optionally, system status outputs can be monitored
during this test.
The ultrasound status output activates only when ul-
trasound is active.
The power monitor output signal indicates the ultrasonic
power level.
