Clutch lever

(fig. 12)

When lever (1) is operated, the transmission is disengaged
from the engine at the gearbox and therefore from the
driving wheel. Use of the clutch is very important during
all phases of driving, especially when moving off.

Important

Using the clutch properly will prolong the life of the

engine and prevent any damage to components in the
transmission.

Notes

It is possible to start the engine with side stand

down and the gearbox in neutral. If starting with a gear
engaged, pull the clutch lever (in this case the side stand
must be up).
