DOLPHIN
DO NOT SUBJECT THE UNIT TO
FREEZING CONDITIONS.
Locate an installation spot where the unit can be installed
so that it can be easily removed for servicing. Avoid trying
to “squeeze” the unit in between the hot water heater and
furnace for example.
This unit must be kept from freezing! If installing outside,
keep the unit from being exposed to direct sun light and
protect valve from the weather as well as keeping it from
freezing.
The valve will require a standard 110V AC outlet to plug
into and a drain access for the back wash drain line
capable of handling a flow of up to 5 GPM.
The back wash drain line can consist of either pipe or
semi-rigid hose and must allow an unrestricted flow to a
drain capable of handling a discharge of up to 5 GPM for
15 minutes. It is recommended to use a drain hose of at
least ½” ID or larger. Drain lines running more than 30 feet
should be of ¾” ID minim. If using soft tubing (vinyl) make
sure not to kink hose so not to reduce flow during backwash.
IMPORTANT
If you purchased multiple tanks and/or Polishing Filter,
follow this installation order:
Connect untreated water first to:
1. Dolphin Heavy Medal Fluoride
2. Dolphin VOC
3. Polishing Filter (if purchased)
