Setting Public mode (Power OFF)
Public mode (Power OFF) is an automatic answering
service used to ensure good manners in public places.
Set Public mode (Power OFF) to play a message for the
caller stating you are somewhere the terminal must be
turned off (hospital, airplane, near priority seats on a train,
etc.), when the terminal is turned off or in airplane mode,
and the call will be disconnected.

Make a call to set. Setting/Canceling procedure is
informed by voice prompts.

From the Applications menu, [Phone]

[Dial]

Enter "25251"

Public mode (Power OFF) is set. (Nothing changes on
the Home screen.)

When the Public mode (Power OFF) is
set
Public mode (Power OFF) remains set until it is canceled.
The setting is not canceled merely by turning the terminal
on.

Public mode (Power OFF) message is played even when
the terminal is out of service area or signal range.
