◆ Updating software automatically
New software can be downloaded automatically and
rewritten at a preset time.
❖
Auto-update setting
･
The settings of Software Update is set to [Automatic
Update] by default.

From the Home screen,

→
[Settings]
→ [About phone] → [Software Update] →
[Configure the software update]

[Automatic Update]/[Manual Update]
❖
When software update is necessary
If the software is downloaded automatically, (software
update available) appears on the status bar to notify and
you can check and change rewriting time.
･
When the rewrite start time is reached with (software
update available) displayed, software is automatically
rewritten and
(software update available)
disappears.

Open the Notification panel and tap the
notification
Software update notice screen appears.

Perform target operations
Closing confirmation : [OK]
Return to the Home screen. Rewriting starts when the
preset time is reached.
Changing preset time : [Sets Time]
For reserved update → P151 "Reserving a time to
update the software"
Rewriting immediately : [Starts update]
For updating immediately → P150 "Updating software
immediately"

INFORMATION
･
If the software update could not be activated at the auto-
update time,
(software update available) appears on
the status bar.
･
If there is insufficient battery power for a software update
or during a call, software update does not start even
when the preset time is reached. The software update will
be performed at the same time the following day.
･
Software cannot be updated automatically when the
Auto-update setting is set to [Manual Update] or while
updating software by Now update.
