Use only recommended lubricants. Fill to capacities listed on page 75.

Engine Oil Temperature Chart

For more information on engine lubrication and maintenance, see your engine manual.

Approved Coolants

This unit was filled with John Deere Cool-Gard coolant before shipment from factory. Add only Cool-Gard
(p/n 255-006) or any fully-formulated, ethylene glycol based, low-silicate, heavy-duty diesel engine coolant
meeting ASTM specification D5345 (prediluted) or D4985 (concentrate). Before using any other kind of
coolant, completely flush radiator.

NOTICE:

•

Use only genuine Ditch Witch parts, filters, and approved lubricants to maintain warranty.

•

Use the “Service Record” on page 81 to record all required service to your machine.

NOTICE:

Do not mix heavy-duty diesel engine coolant and automotive-type coolant. This will lead

coolant breakdown and engine damage.
