20.4 LIMIT SWITCHES
RK3:
Prevents the operation of the outriggers and the driving device if the boom does not rest on the
transport support.
RK4:
Safety limit-switch for the adjusted operating range.
RK5:
Backup limit-switch for the safety limit-switch RK4. As this limit-switch operates, the bus is
shifted to congestion mode as regards to the boom movements and the SR3 will trip after the
predetermined delay (1,2 seconds)
RK6:
Safety limit-switch for the horizontal position of the boom. Switches off the raising of the boom
at the level plane as the boom is raised during the driving and the outriggers are in the upper
position.
RK7 and RK15:
Safety limit switch for the telescope chain for the boom.
This limit switch switches off the combustion engine. After this only the emergency descent
system can be operated.
RK8:
As the emergency descent is operated, and the telescope is fully retracted, the limit-switch will
automatically direct the emergency descent system to serve the lowering of the boom and the
articulated arms.
RK9:
Inductive limit switch. Limits turning of the platform to the left.
RK10:
Inductive limit switch. Limits turning of the platform to the right
RK11 - RK14
:
Limit switches for the outriggers. Impede the deployment of the boom unless the
outriggers are firmly supported on the ground (that the limit switch should close, requires that a
minimum force of 300 N be exerted on the outrigger)
RK16:
Inductive sensor. Controls the movement speed of the boom as the telescope passes by the
sensor.
RK18:
Backs up the raising of the boom to the horizontal plane as the boom is raised during the driving
and the outriggers are in the upper position. Switches off all boom movements if the operating
range of the level limit-switch RK6 is exceeded.
