The following example shows how key pad entry works when you are entering
CV Values:

Radio & infrared throttles must be plugged in to LocoNet to pro-
gram CVs using service mode on the programming track. Ops
Mode programming can be done without plugging radio throt-
tles in to LocoNet. IR throttles must be plugged in for Ops Mode
programming.
1. Be sure that only the loco you want to program is on the programming
track. If you are using operations mode programming, the loco you
want to program can be anywhere on the layout but it must have a
decoder that is capable of ops mode programming installed.
2. Press the PROG Key
to enter programming mode. The DT400
will display:
P R O G
Use the DT400 key pad to enter CV Values
while in Programming Mode
Example: Key in a CV Value of 25
Press the "8 Key"
Since a CV Value of 258 is greater than
the maximum CV Value allowable of 255.
The DT400 displays 255. The next key-
pad entry begins the sequence again.
Press the "2 Key"
CV Value of 002 is displayed
Press the "5 Key"
CV Value of 025 is displayed
