Installing the Windows Printer Driver

Installing the Printer Driver for Windows 3.x

Installation under Windows 3.x is performed by running the installation utility from the Program
Manager. Language selection is possible during installation.

For more details about the installation, see the readme.txt file on the Printer Driver disk.

Installing the Printer Driver for Windows 95

Installation under Windows 95 is performed by either of two methods: use the Plug and Play
detection capability of Windows 95 or install from the

Printers

folder. The language selection is

made by selecting the corresponding directory.

Printing a Test Page

Printing a Test Page under Windows 3.x

Follow the procedure below in order to print a test page.

1. Power the printer on. The

Fault

indicator blinks.

2. Press the

FF/Load

button to load the paper into the printer.

3. Open a file from a basic application, such as Write for example.

4. Ensure that the printer Driver is selected and that the settings match your paper size or other

specific parameters accompanying your file:

– Check that

Paper Source

option is set to Push-Front.

– Check that

Paper Size

option matches the size of the sheet actually inserted.

5. Follow the instructions in your application documentation on printing a file.

Printing a Test Page under Windows 95

During installation under Windows 95, select the option related to the printing of a print test page
in order to check the correct installation of your printer driver.
