platform. The scale will display the number of pieces as well as the Total Weight, based on the Unit
Weight established by the sampling process. To store this Unit Weight in the DC-530’s memory
associated with an Item Code so that you can recall it in the future, see Section 6.2.1.
If you press the
TEP

TEP Mode - Unit Weight Operation by Key Entry

TEP Mode - Parts Counting
After you have established the Unit Weight of the part to be counted either by sampling (See Section 5.6.1
above) or by digital entry (See Section 5.6.2 above) and have entered a Tare Weight, you are ready to carry out
counting operations for that part. Alternatively, you can call up the data for an Item Code previously
programmed into the DC-530’s memory by entering the Item Code number and pressing the
# [CODE]
key. If
you enter an Item Code for which the Safe Quantity Limit has not yet been established, you will see the
following error message.
If you receive this error message, you must use the scale to calculate the Safe Quantity Limit and edit the Item
Code record to include it. For more on how to establish the Safe Quantity Limit, see Section 5.6.1.
1. The TEP Counting Mode display will show the maximum safe quantity of the part that can be counted
