Creating a gateway routing table entry
To create a new gateway routing table entry for VCCV, follow these steps:

Access the Vision™ Console, as described in
Accessing the Vision Console
on page 33.

Click
Gateway routes
in the Provisioning menu. The Call routing table page is displayed.

New
. The Edit Routing Entry page is displayed.

Complete the fields on the Edit Routing Entry page (see
Examples for VCCV
on page 101 for
sample routing table entries):
•
Enter expressions in the To incoming and From incoming fields.
•
In the Mode field, select Route. Other modes are not supported for VCCV.
•
In the To outgoing field, to indicate that VCCV will be used, enter the hint string
mode:'voice+'
. Optionally, specify a user-defined video background file and audio
announcement file. If no files are specified, default files are used.
•
In the To outgoing field, to indicate the early media option with VCCV, also enter the hint
string
early_media:'enable'
. Optionally, specify a user-defined video ringback file. If no
file is specified, a default file is used.
•
Enter expressions in the From outgoing field.
Note that the Video transcoder field is not used and has no effect for VCCV.

Click
Apply
. The Vision™ Console adds the new rule to the routing table.

If a syntax error occurs in the new routing rule, the Vision™ Console displays an error
message. Correct the rule, and click
OK
.

The hint strings available for VCCV are summarized in the following table. These hint
strings are used in the To outgoing field in the gateway routing table.
