Updating Instrument Software
The latest instrument software is downloadable from Diagon’s server (for
users having access to it) or is sent via e-mail.
The steps of upgrading the instrument software are the following:
1.
Copy the latest “coag2d.mhx” file into a USB drive’s root folder.
2.
Switch off the instrument
3.
Insert the USB drive into the instrument’s “host USB connector”.
4.
Press and hold the bottom right part of the instrument’s
touchscreen while switching on the coagulometer.
5.
A window comes up in a few seconds (where) select the
option “Update”.
6.
The software informs you that the update is in process, which
can be monitored by the progress bar.
Note: if the update fails to complete or halts at a
certain stage, try removing and reformatting the
pendrive (to a FAT32 file system). Copy the update
files back onto pendrive and attempt the update again.
7.
When firmware update is finished, you need to press the
“Reboot” button.
8.
After the instrument has rebooted, switch it off again.
9.
Remove the USB drive from the instrument’s “host USB
connector”.
10.
Restart the coagulometer and enter into service mode during
the reboot (double tap the screen when the Diagon logo and
software version are displayed).
11.
Enter the service code (you may obtain it from Diagon or its
authorized distributor).
12.
Press the “Restore Defaults” button.
Note: although not obligatory, a reset is highly recommended as
files that may become corrupted during the update will
be replaced with correct ones. This ensures good
performance during later use.
Perform the backup procedure before resetting the
instrument as all data will be lost. For further
information, see Chapter 9 – Settings menu.
