10. Sample Measurement
10.1 Preparation of Materials
Before starting a measurement, make sure that the LOT number of the
reagent used matches the one in the Calibration menu.
For sample measurement, use freshly decalcified plasma according to
proper guidelines.
Using the barcode reader for identifying samples is highly recommended.
Only use cuvettes distributed by Diagon.
To speed up the measurement cycle, use a different pipette for dispensing
reagents and samples. The same pipette tip may be used for dispensing
the same reagent; however, when dispensing samples, the tip has to be
replaced between each sample to prevent carryover.
Only use reagents, controls, calibrators and
consumables that are manufactured accordingly with
measurement requirements. Using any third-party
accessories may cause false results, and Diagon will
not take responsibility for such inaccuracies.
Read the instructions provided with the reagents
and handle them accordingly.
Always dispose of used cuvettes.
Always follow the guidelines of your laboratory
when handling reagents and samples used during
measurements as they constitute as biologically hazar-
dous materials. Collect and dispose of used vessels
and equipment accordingly with regulations related to
handling biologically hazardous materials.
