TROUBLESHOOTING
note:
it is taken for granted that the inverter has been correctly connected to the power line (which is on) and that the
motor pumps have been correctly connected to the inverter, as described in chapter 3 INSTALLATION, and that all the
cables and connections are operative.
The current circuit breaker has tripped to protect the DGBOX power line
Message
Cause
intervention
none
The residual current circuit breaker is
inadequate for inverter supply
Replace the residual current circuit breaker with a model
suitable for the pulsating components and in direct current
(class A or B)
the VARIABLE SPEED pump fails to start
Message
Cause
intervention
PUMP 1
STOP
The pump is out of service (placed
manually out of service)
Put the pump back into service (see. cap. 4. OUT OF SERVICE)
DRY RUN
-
Lack of water at suction
-
pump not primed
-
suction blocked
-
wrong motor rotation
-
wrong setting of the parameter PD
(minimum working pressure)
-
check the presence of water at suction
-
prime the pump
-
clean the suction
-
check and correct the motor rotation
-
set the parameter PD to a lower value
-
Manual re-arm by pressing ESC.
OVER
CURRENT
Excessive overcurrent absorption
compared to set value (MOTOR
CURRENT)
-
Check the correct current setting (MOTOR CURRENT)
-
check the voltage at pump terminals under load
-
make sure the pump motor is turning freely and is not
braked
-
check the correct direction of rotation.
-
Re-arm is only manual by pressing ESC.
CURRENT
LIMIT
-
excessive overcurrent absorption
-
short circuit
-
Make sure the motor pump is not blocked
-
reduce the motor acceleration by means of the
ACCELERATION parameter
-
make sure there are no short circuit downstream the
inverter
-
Re-arm is only manual by pressing ESC.
NO COM
-
No communication between control
board and power board
-
the ammeter cutout of the variable-
speed pump has tripped
-
the power board is out of order
-
Check the integrity of the connection cable and connections
-
check the setting of the ammeter cutout of the variable-
speed pump
-
Contact DGFLOW service for assistance
P SENSE
ERROR
No pressure signal or out of scale
-
Check the pressure sensor connections to PRESS/FLOW
clamps
-
replace the pressure sensor
PHASE
ERROR
Lack of phase towards motor during
operation
Check the integrity of the motor power cable and of the
connections.
Re-arm is only manual by pressing ESC.
INPUT
ERROR
Wrong power wiring
Check the power wiring connection (see POWER
CONNECTIONS) and eventually reverse
WATER
LEVEL
No level signal with level signal input on
-
Make sure there is water at suction
-
check level signal operation
DRY RUN
PF
-
The pump is working dry
-
The parameter MIN POWERF x is set
wrong (too high)
-
check the presence of water at suction
-
check the pump is primed
-
check the suction is clean
-
check the correct setting of parameter MIN POWERF x
(lower the value of the parameter so that in the presence of
water the system never goes into alarm
