2 Planning a cordless communications network

Description:

1) These resets set the PP back to the ex-factory default values; this applies also to the "tele-
phone directory" and PIN!

Read-only mode:
In this mode, it is not possible to make any modifications within the menu program, but the
menus remain accessible. Any attempt to change a value will prompt an error response
(beep). This ensures that an (unattended) PP found lying around can only be reconfigured by
entering a PIN.

Changing the PIN:
The user can change the PIN for the PP. To do this, enter the valid PIN, then enter the new
PIN (twice) and confirm by pressing "OK". The PIN is 4 digits long.

Reset:
This function partially sets the PP back to default values. This means that all defaults are set
and all charges information values are zeroed out. The call address list, the memory for
repeat dialling and the news text memory are all deleted.
After the user presses "OK", the display shows "are you sure?". Pressing "OK" activates the
reset function.
The "telephone directory", PIN and system log-on list remain unchanged.
