2.1
Qualifications of operating personnel
The system may only be operated by skilled or properly trained
personnel.
The system may only be installed and operated by skilled or properly
trained personnel.
Xios AE installation is to be performed exclusively by trained and
authorized distributors of Dentsply Sirona or service technicians
designated by Dentsply Sirona. For more information, please refer to

number to reach us directly.
Personnel undergoing education or training, or who are using the unit
as part of general training, may only operate the unit under the constant
supervision of a properly trained person.
2.2
Hygiene
Suitable hygienic measures must be taken to prevent cross
contamination between patients, users and other persons.
The hygienic protective sleeves and sensor holder tabs are single use
devices which must be renewed for each patient. Do not use single use
devices more than once.
The sterilizable exposure accessories such as the rods and rings of the
sensor holder must be sterilized to prevent any possible transmission of
infective agents which might under certain circumstances cause serious
illnesses.
Before autoclaving sensor positioning parts, be sure to clean them
properly with an appropriate soap and / or disinfectant and follow the
manufacturers’ instructions regarding usage. After the parts have been
cleaned, rinse them thoroughly with water to remove any chemical
residue that might remain. Observe this practice whenever preparing
sensor positioning parts for autoclaving as discoloration in the
components may occur if such steps are not performed. (Discoloration
will not affect function or use.)
The sensors and the cable must be disinfected before each patient.

2.3
Radiation protection
The valid radiation protection regulations and measures must be
observed. The statutory radiation protection equipment must be used.
