Battery Care
Propex IQ
®
Apex Locator is powered by two AAA (1.2 V) Ni-MH batteries. During the
operation, the battery status is shown on the device front panel as the color of the ON/
OFF/Standby button. See
6.6 Description of the LED Colors

The following notes will help you to ensure the battery provides a long service life:
•
If the battery LED on the device flashes red, there is less than 5 min of device
autonomy left. You must charge the device.
•
Do not charge the battery more than once a day. It is recommended that you charge
the device at the end of each day.
•
Charge the battery overnight after using
Propex IQ
®
Apex Locator. The battery is
fully charged after up to 6 hours of charging.
•
Always fully charge the battery, i.e. until the battery LED stops flashing green and
turns steady green.
•
When the charger is unplugged, the device will go in active mode.
•
When the device is in standby mode and the charger is plugged, the device will start
charging.
•
When the device is turned off and the charger is plugged, the device will start
charging.
