Steps
1.

Slide the power supply unit (PSU) into to PSU slot.

Align the screw hole on the PSU with the standoff on the chassis.

Tighten the screw to secure the PSU to the chassis.

Connect all the power cables to the system board, hard drives, and optical drive.

Follow the procedure listed in

After working inside your system

Connect the power cable to the power supply and plug the cable into a power outlet.

Removing the power supply unit blank

If you are installing a second power supply unit (PSU), remove the PSU blank in the bay by pulling the

blank outward.

CAUTION: To ensure proper system cooling, the power supply blank must be installed in the
second PSU bay in a non-redundant configuration. Remove the PSU blank only if you are
installing a second PSU.
