CAUTION: If you are permanently removing a processor, you must install a socket protective
cap and a processor blank in the vacant socket to ensure proper system cooling. The
processor blank covers the vacant sockets for the DIMMs and the processor.

If you are removing the processor permanently, install the processor blank.

Install a processor.
3.
Install the heat sink.
4.
If removed, reinstall the PCIe expansion card riser.
5.
If disconnected, reconnect the cables to the expansion card(s).

Reinstall the cooling shroud.
