10.3.4 Limiter
This section describes the parameters you can set for the hot-water circuit in the pic-
tures under the Limiter menu item.
Return temperature
These settings affect the return temperature limiting. See page 58 for further informa-
tion.

Description
Type
Type of limi-
tation
Default value:
MAX
Range:
MIN, MAX
Type of return temperature limitation
used: maximum or minimum. The flow
temperature is modified, when the return
temperature is either above the setpoint
(MAX) or below the setpoint (MIN)
Setpoint
Default value:
50 °C
Range:
10-99 °C
Maximum/minimum return temperature
in the hot-water circuit
Flow
These settings are available when a sensor measuring water flow is connected to one
of the user-definable sensor inputs described on page 27. The Flow function enables
the controller to change the flow temperature if the current flow in the circuit exceeds
the flow setpoint.

Description
Setpoint
Default value:
1.00 m
3
/h
Range:
0.0-999 l/h or
0.0-999 m
3
/h
Flow setpoint. Measured flow above this
value causes a change in the calculated
flow temperature
The range depends on the selected appli-
cation and flow sensor
Amplification
Default value:
–0.3 K
Range:
–25.0 - 25.0 K
Amplification factor for modification of
calculated flow temperature
A negative amplification causes a reduc-
tion of the calculated flow temperature, a
positive amplification causes an increase
Integr. time
Integration
time
Default value:
30 min.
Range:
0-200 min.
Integration time for flow influence
Energy
This function allows you to set up a limiting function based the current energy con-
sumption. This function requires that energy consumption is being measured. Refer to
page 49 for details.
Universal
It is also possible to set up a customized limiting function for a hot-water circuit. How
the limiter will work depends on the type of sensor connected to the input. This func-
tion is extremely flexible and is used for very special applications.
