13) The two fingers of each jaw
must
extend past each side of this tube to properly hold
the wheel chair.
Note:
The hitch jaws must pass on both sides of the
vertical wheelchair tubes, bottom out on the jaw
back plate, and be firmly in contact with the tubes.
See figure above.
The jaws of the Wheelchair Mover can accommodate up to a 1-
1/4”
diameter tube (right figure below). The smaller 7/8” diameter tube shown
in the left figure is the smallest tube that will be encountered.
Note:
Experienced users will begin to notice the force
required to move the hitch handle and the feel of
the handle moving during normal operation of the
hitch mechanism. If a problem develops with the
hitch mechanism, it will often be evident in a
higher force required to operate the hitch or a
rougher feel as the handle is moved.
