WheelChair Mover hitch does not work:
1) Check that handle moves smoothly through full stroke and that the handle cannot be
pulled up without pulling the latch release.
2) Check that latch release moves smoothly.
3) Set the hitch handle halfway down and check that the hitch sliding bars cannot be
pushed in (toward the machine).
4) Check that the jaws are not loose on the sliding bars and they are not damaged.
If the hitch does complete these tests, call for service.
Facility maintenance technician checks:
WheelChair Mover will not move:
1)
Check that the “O/I” (on/off) switch turns the machine on and lights turn on.
Check fuses.
Verify battery voltage for each battery is greater than 10.5 volts.
Check charger operation.
Check Controller Status LED for codes.
2) Check throttle for smooth operation and spring return to the center position. Check
that machine does not move with throttle released and in the center position. Check
that the throttle allows operation at low speeds in both directions.
3) Check brake. With the
“O/I” switch off, push the machine to check that it won’t roll.
4) Check controller. Check that maximum speeds are correct for forward and reverse.
Check that the throttle allows operation at low speeds in both directions.
5) Always p
erform “Before Operating Checklist” before returning the WheelChair Mover
to service.
